Its 360° rotating head, 11-inch reach, and locking mechanism help you align the jaws with clamps on coolant, heater, fuel, and similar hose lines in restricted areas.

Compatibility and Clamp Size

This tool is suitable for all vehicle types when the hose uses a compatible standard spring clamp that the jaws can securely engage. It is designed for spring clamps with a 3–6 cm (1.1–2.3 in) diameter range and has a maximum jaw opening of 60 mm (2.36 in). Before service, verify the clamp style, clamp diameter, and available clearance; it is not a substitute for a clamp-specific tool when the clamp design cannot be held securely.

360° Swivel Head for Better Alignment

The head rotates through 360° and can be positioned at the angle that gives the jaws a square, controlled grip on a spring clamp. This is useful when the clamp cannot be approached directly because of nearby engine components or hose routing.

11-Inch Reach and Locking Assistance

The 11-inch form provides reach for clamps located deeper in an engine bay while maintaining controlled handling. After the clamp is compressed, the locking mechanism can hold it open while you reposition the hose. Keep the clamp under control and release the lock only after it is correctly positioned.
